E' una corsa attorno ad un quartiere di una città in costruzione quello che fa Devis Venturelli in Continuum. Il contesto urbano è appena accennato ma si intuisce la forma degli edifici – avvolti dalle impalcature e dalle gru – che stanno dietro al muro di cinta e che sono la città futura. Sull'asfalto invece tutti i segni di un cantiere con transenne, barriere di plastica, sabbia. L'artista sceglie infatti di correre portando con sé un nastro luccicante color oro che sfugge da tutte le parti, conferendogli talvolta i tratti plastici di Forme uniche nella continuità dello spazio di Boccioni. Ma è solo un acrobazia o una corsa a perdifiato. Venturelli sembra infatti una creatura in grado di incuriosire e di creare stupore, un essere zoomorfo proveniente da un bestiario fantasioso e postmoderno. In Continuum. (© 2010, Daniele Capra)
In Continuum, Devis Venturelli races around the neighbourhood of a city still under connstruction. The urban context is hardly sketched in but we can intuit the forms of the buildings – wrapped in scaffolding and surrounded by cranes – that lie behind the enclosing walls and wich are to be the city of the future. On the asphalt, instead, are all traces of a building site with its barriers, plastic trellises, and sand.
In fact the artist choose to run with a shiny gold-coloured ribbon that escapes from all about him and which at times makes him seen to have the sculptural shapes of Boccioni's Forme uniche nella continuità dello spazio. But this is not only a question of acrobatics or a breathless race.Venturelli, in fact, seems a creature that can arouse amazement, or a that might be a zoomorphing being stepping out of a fanciful and post-modern bestiary.
